In the twentieth (yes, 20th!) film in the MCU, Scott Lang is stuck under house arrest thanks to his ANTics in Captain America: Civil War. After a strange dream he reuites with Hope Van Dyne and her father Hank Pym so they can rescue Hope’s mother from the Quantum realm. Things are complicated by a ghostly character and shady mafia boss who both want the tech that Pym has developed.
Ant-Man And The Wasp takes place after the events in Captain America Civil War. Scott Lang is under house arrest for his part in the action in Germany (he was 65 feet tall so it’s not like he can pretend he wasn’t there) and only has a short while to go before he’s allowed out and about.
